About Jones & Machida match-up

Jones about Machida fight and Evans: He respects him dearly, likes his personality outside the octagon, thinks he has a warrior spirit like he also has. Jones is very excited to fight with someone who has honor who respects the sport that much. He is also happy that Machida doesn't have that trash talking like Rampage which is making the sport look bad. And about the fight, Jones believes Machida is a tougher opponent than Rahsad Evans. Machida knocked Evans out in the past. According to him Rahsad sat a year  out and waited for Shogun to take the opportunity. Jones thinks Evans' credibility should be questioned. The champion also indirectly accused Rahsad lying about his injury. It was a knee injury first and now he is suffering from thumb injury. He is curious about which part of him it will turn injured next. Rahsad took the fight and cancelled it thinking he would say no in such a short notice for 9 weeks. He thinks he is ducking.

Machida about Jones: Machida thinks it is really hard to tell the perfect style to beat him up. He has a lot of trust in his skills and will spend a lot of time studying him. He believes he can take the bout to 5th round. By the way there is a possibility of Anderson Silva joining to his training camp. He says thats not something to count on, but states it could be really helpful if happens.
