UFC 141 Drug Tests Clean; Overeem Has Two Left
Overeem was drug tested twice prior to UFC 141. He must undergo two more post-fight tests over the next six months to satisfy the conditions set forth by the Nevada commission.

UFC 141 pay-per-view buys for 'Lesnar vs Overeem' could top 750,000!
Dave Meltzer: Because of the holiday, our early PPV numbers are somewhat sketchy but early industry estimates have ranged between 750,000 and 810,000 North American buys, which would be slightly higher than most expectations. The show probably would have hit the 1 million mark if it was on New Year’s Eve. The original plan was to do a New Year’s Eve show from Abu Dhabi, but when that fell through, they booked the MGM Grand. Because the strip in Las Vegas is shut down from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on New Year’s Eve, it really would be impossible to run a show like they do in Las Vegas on that night. It would be either the second or third biggest number in UFC history drawn by a non-title match. Rashad Evans vs. Quinton Jackson holds the record at around 1 million, Ken Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz II was second at 775,000, and please don’t insult anyone’s intelligence by claiming the Tim Sylvia vs. Andrei Arlovski heavyweight title match on that show was really the main event.
The show appears to have done the most buys in the U.S. for any PPV show since Lesnar’s prior fight with Cain Velasquez, and it may have done the biggest number overall since that time, although the Georges St. Pierre fights with Josh Koscheck and Jake Shields may slip ahead overall because of the strong Canadian numbers. Sketchy trending information indicates it appears to have set the company record for any show in Australia.
Some of the strongest markets were Edmonton, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Honolulu, Vancouver, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Calgary, Toronto, San Antonio, Charlotte, Columbus, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Kansas City and Phoenix.

Brock Lesnar Retires after loss to Alistair Overeem
After loss to Overeem in the post fight interview with Joe Rogan, Brock Lesnar announced that he retired.
"My hat's off to Alistair Overeem. I want to take my hat off to all my training partners, my wife, my family. I've had a really difficult couple years with my disease, and I'm going to officially say tonight is the last time you'll see me in the Octagon.I want to thank everybody. Fertittas, Dana White. I'm officially retired. I promised my wife and kids if I won this fight, I'd make one last shot at the title and then retire. But … Alistair, it was a pleasure."
Brock Lesnar may have suffered a broken rib in loss.
Dana White: "A lot of people don't realize what that feels like. He said, 'I think my rib is broken. I don't know what a broken rib feels like, but if it hurts worse than this I don't want to feel it.'"

Junior Dos Santos predicts a win for Lesnar!
"I think Brock's gonna win. I give 50-percent, each guy, for this fight. Alistair Overeem is very dangerous too, but Brock is more aggressive, you know? Brock has a different game. He's a huge guy. But I don't care about who's gonna be my next opponent. I just will give 100-percent of me to be prepared for them."
Brock Lesnar pleads guilty to hunting charges in Canada, fined and suspended for six months
A lawyer for Brock Lesnar appeared in a Medicine Hat court and pleaded guilty on his client's behalf to improper tagging of an animal during a hunting trip last year. He was fined $1,725 and given a six-month hunting suspension. Lesnar, who is 34, was accused by fish and wildlife officials of shooting a mule deer buck but only packing the trophy head out. He was charged along with a hunting guide. The director of the Alberta Professional Outfitters Society said it is considered unethical to leave edible meat in the field.
Brock Lesnar after released a statement on the issue.
“In November 2010, I went on a filmed hunt in Alberta, Canada. It was sponsored by Fusion Ammunition and guided by Trophy Hunters Alberta. In Alberta, Americans can’t hunt without a licensed outfitter. The outfitter is there to make sure you follow the rules. I had two deer tags for the trip, which meant I could legally shoot two deer. On the first day of the trip, I shot a mule deer. On the second day, I shot a white tail. Video from the hunt has been on the internet for over a year. After I shot the mule deer, I failed to immediately tag it. As far as I was involved, that’s all there is to it.
Now it’s resolved. I paid my fine today. It’s the kind of thing that happens to hunters all the time. I want to thank the Canadian authorities for their cooperation in resolving this misunderstanding. I love Canada and I can’t wait to go back to Alberta for a hunt.”

I don’t care where his career has been. When the door shuts and it’s time to go, he’ll know really quickly that he’s got a fight on his hands. In my mind, I think he’s in over his head. He doesn’t understand the beast that he’s going to enter the Octagon with.”
