UFC 139 Medical Suspensions:
Dan Henderson – Suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days due to a hard bout. He was also suspended 180 days with no contact for 180 days unless he receives clearance from a physician for a possible right thumb fracture. An MRI/CT scan is needed to be cleared.
Mauricio Rua – Suspended for 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to a hard bout; suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days for an eyebrow laceration; and suspended 180 days with no contact for 180 days unless cleared by a physician for possible facial and skull fracture.
Wanderlei Silva – Suspended for 60 days with no contact for 60 days unless cleared by a physician for a right eyebrow laceration.
Cung Le – Suspended for 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to TKO. He was also suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days unless cleared by a physician due to a possible nasal fracture.
Brian Bowles – Suspended for 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to submission.
Martin Kampmann – Suspended for 60 days with no contact for 60 days unless cleared by a physician due to forehead and right eyebrow lacerations.
Rick Story – Suspended for 60 days with no contact for 60 days unless cleared by a physician for a chin laceration.
Jason Brilz – Suspended for 45 days with no contact for 30 days.
Michael McDonald – Suspended for 180 days with no contact for 180 days unless cleared via x-ray for a possible third finger fracture on his right hand.
Tom Lawlor – Suspended for 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to submission.
Gleison Tibau – Suspended for 180 days with no contact for 180 days unless cleared via x-ray for possible right thumb fracture.

After a great night of fights.
Truly the best UFC of the year. One of the best events ever!
Shogun vs. Hendo can be very well the best fight in the MMA history. It was like a Rocky movie. Both fighters are too resistant and didn't quit fighting even one sec. Maybe 5 times we all thought it was over for both guys (seperately), but man they just didn't give up. Dana White said it was a draw according to his score but the judges picked Hendo. In my opinion Hendo deserved it with the performance he put at the age of 41. This is not everyone can do. For 5 rounds, 25 minutes it was an unbelievable epic fight.
Wanderlei vs. Le also won the fight of the night with Shogun vs. Hendo. In the first round I personally thought the fight would end soon for Wanderlei. Le put on a great show with the awesome spinning kicks. He got the best talents in MMA in term of spinning kicks, as a result did a lot of damage to Wanderlei coming of a KO defeat from Leben. In the second round things changed. Wanderlei too control and did oldschool. He pushed the face, caught Le in the round and threw hell of a great Muay Thai strikes in the clinch. Le was in all kinds of trouble and lost with his broken nose. Wanderlei is back! Both fighters should continue their career regardless of the age. They still have it!
Faber vs. Bowles also was a hell of a game. Faber was in great shape with no injuries. Cardio rocked as always. He caught Faber with a huge upper cut, and pushed the phase with great punches, strikes, elbows. Bowles didn't give up, unfortunately for him got caught with a gilloitine choke by the submission master and lost the fight.
Martin Kampmann vs Rick Story was all about Kampmann's come back. I believe he decided to get the game on his hands after losing with controversial decisions. Welcome back Danish Gift to UFC.
Bader vs. Brilz was on Pre Lims. Bader proved he belongs to Main Card. He came over 2 loss streaks with both coming from submissions via Jones and Ortiz. He has unbelievable power in his hands and he is back on track with his new coaching staff.

Nick Pace forfeits 20 percent of his purse for missing weight
Shogun's manager speaks about division change and Dan Henderson fight
Shogun's manager Alonso talked on a possible weight class change. Shogun Rua is too big for middle weight and small for heavyweight. He will fit better as light heavyweight. Alonso stated;
"Honestly, I don't think about it. Shogun is a guy who naturally weights over 100kg. His legs are heavy, so it's hard for him to lose weight. He can drop to 93kg and perform in high level. Few athletes have beaten up so many top 10 athletes like Shogun did. I don't see why he'd drop to the middleweight division... It'd be hard on him; I guess he'd suffer a lot."
Also on Dan Henderson fight he stated;
"I guess a win over Dan Henderson, to anyone, is a big deal. It doesn't matter in which division it is. Dan Henderson is on top since Rings. He's the current Strikeforce champion on the weight class; he's coming from impressive wins, including the one over Fedor, which is something we can never undermine. Beating Dan Henderson is a great deal for one's career. Fighting for the belt or not is a natural consequence, it's not something we have to worry about. We can't predict what will come to us. The important is for us to do our jobs, than later we'll see. If it's worth the title, great. If it's not, there's no big deal about it, we'll keep on working."
Vitor Belfort Injured ! Wanderlei Silva steps in against Cung Le.
Vitor Belfort was expected to face Cung Le @ UFC 139. Wanderlei Silva will step in to face Cung Le.
President Dana White tweeted "“Vitor is injured and out of San Jose fight. Now Cung Le will fight Wandy!” this week.
Dan Henderson and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua to face @ UFC 139
Dan Henderson and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua both agreed verbally for UFC 139. Dan Henderson will be coming back to UFC. He defeated Fedor Emelianenko(cut from Strikeforce) in StrikeForce on July 30, 2011. He previously won the light heavyweight title by defeating Rafael Cavalcante in March. We shall see how this 41 year old veteran will be performing against Shougun. Rua is coming off a win over Forrest Griffin @ UFC 134. He previously lost his belt against Jon "Bones" Jones @ UFC 128.
The winner of this match will earn the next title shot after Rashad Evans against Jones vs. Rampage winner.
