Jose Aldo: I'm going to have to move to lightweight!
“Having Edgar, a former lightweight champion, would be amazing for the featherweight division, but if he doesn’t come down to 145 pounds, in the future, I’m going to have to move to lightweight.”
Frankie Edgar not moving down to 145, sees Aldo a big problem
“I got nothin’ against 145 (pounds). Will I make it there one day? Probably. You know? That’s the truth. But, I just don’t wanna go out on these terms. I felt like the fight was too close for me to just be like, ‘Alright, I’m going down to 45,’ you know? You know, the reality is that when I first got into this, there was not 45, there was only 55. Actually, when I first started fighting, UFC didn’t even have 55. So, when 55 came, that’s where I fought. Then, I started doing well, and my record kinda speaks for itself. It is the plan, to eventually go down one day, just not now… Forty-five is a ways away. But, he’s (Aldo is) tough. Just because you go down a weight class doesn’t mean it gets any easier, especially when you’re fighting a guy like Jose Aldo. He’s got the power on these guys, but he’s got the speed also. He presents a lot of problems.”
Nate Diaz doesn't want to fight Frankie Edgar
"I'm pretty sure, like, I'm not really big on fighting Frankie, you know? Frankie came down to train with me and he represents Renzo Gracie and Ricardo Almeida, I train with Cesar (Gracie) so, I really don't want no part of that fight. I'm mostly interested in fighting people I don't know. "

Frankie Edgar vs Ben Henderson rematch booked for summer!
Frankie Edgar:
"Rematch anyone??.......it's on!! Thanks to @danawhite @lorenzofertitta. Me and Henderson 2. Here we go!!"
"It was a relief, it really was. A weight lifted off my chest, it's been weighing on me. I definitely made it known that I wanted the rematch, I'm not going to sit there and I don't want to argue for a title, I want to fight for a title. I'm just happy I get to fight for it now.... Dana he was still concerned and I respect him for that. He thinks 145 might be better for the longevity of my career and my health and what not, and I disagree. Being the competitive person I am, feeling that maybe that fight should have went my way, I want another chance at it. That's when he said 'alright man, you're going to get it."
Frankie Edgar's manager says he's not moving down to featherweight division
Frankie Edgar's Manager Abdel-Aziz:
"Frankie deserves a rematch. We’re going to ask for a rematch. I talked to Lorenzo Fertitta and he believes Frankie scored 3 to 2, Dana White scored Frankie winning the fight. Frankie in the future will go down to 145, but he’s not going to go down now, he’s not. He’s not getting manhandled, he’s not getting destroyed, he won the fight. Frankie’s not the type of guy to lose and then just cower and move to 145. This kid has so much heart and determination."
Dana White on Edgar vs Henderson score, thinks Edgar got it.
Dana White : "Again, I'm not a judge and my opinion doesn't matter but I had it even going into that last round and I gave the last round to Frankie. Four rounds to one for Ben Henderson is crazy. Most of the judges had Edgar losing the last round, I don't know how you have him losing the last round. But I was on Twitter going into the third, fourth and last round asking people how they had it and there were some people who had it just like I had it and there were other people who had it the other way for Henderson. I said, 'Get ready for some controversy, this is going to be a controversial decision.
I’m not a judge, but I had the fight even going into the last round and I gave the last round to Frankie. Joe Silva had this scored for Frankie by a landslide, as well. But a lot of judges score on damage and Henderson didn’t have the damage. There wasn’t any question where the damage was done. I’ve got nothing but respect for Henderson, look at what he did tonight. I’m not going to make a decision about the rematch right now."

Frankie Edgar wants immediate re-match
“I don’t want to take anything away from Ben, he did a great job but I thought I won that fight. He came hard and I knew it was going to be a tough fight butI thought I did enough to win those rounds.
I’m not trying to shoot anyone out of what they deserve but I had to do two immediate rematches, so what’s right?”
Stars started arriving for Japan
Frankie Edgar on Ben Henderson
"He's been on a tear since he's been over here in the UFC. He's beat three top guys; all contenders. He's the man right now. So, he's got a lot of steam behind him. I know he brings a lot of heat. I think it'll be a very high output kind of fight and I can't wait.Training's going great. I'm about to ship out to Japan, next week. Obviously I have Renzo (Gracie) and Ricardo (Almeida) to talk to and bounce ideas off of. We're gonna get there like nine days in advance. I figure that should be enough time. You know, I fought in Abu Dhabi, which is a pretty significant time difference, so, you know, it's gonna be business as usual.
It's tough. You know, a guy like that is really tough to duplicate, as far as training partners go. You get a little mixture of this and that in different guys and you try to prepare the best you can for him. You know, I think it's just his scrambling ability. He scrambles really well and he's a great athlete. He throws good knees and stuff like that. I don't wanna get caught with one of them, for sure.

Maynard looking for a rematch against Edgar
“Hopefully he holds on to the belt, because there’s got to be a part four, I think, to make it a true trilogy. Now he has one and I do two, so that’s a draw. So, we gotta do it again. Hopefully, he holds on the belt and I can work back up there.”
