Fox: 5.7 Million Watched UFC Heavyweight Title Fight

Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez’s heavyweight title fight attracted 5.7 million viewers and a 3.1/5 household rating to Fox on Saturday night, according to figures released Sunday by Fox Sports Media Group.

Cain Velasquez not happy with performance, admits it was his fault not sticking to his gameplan.

Cain at the post fight press conference stated "My knee was fine. It was my fault I didn't pressure enough. I played Dos Santos's game and he caught me, it was my fault."

Dana White pissed about people claiming all fights should be broadcasted on free TV.

UFC President White in the post fight press conference stated over a question: "This fight was not part of the FOX deal. The deal is for seven years and so many fights on FOX. This time, that time, this was never part of the deal. After we signed the deal, FOX said, 'Why don't we do this, why don't we do a fight right away, lets put a great fight on TV, kick it off and let everybody know about the partnership?' That's what this thing was. For anybody to bitch about this fight and they didn't get to see that fight, shut up! You should have bought tickets then if you wanted to see all the fights and you don't like to watch it on Facebook. Seriously, shut up. I don't even want to hear it."

Junior Dos Santos had serious knee injury 10 days prior to fight!

JDS in the post fight press conference explained why his performance not being hundred percent as he said after the fight. "I got a very serious injury in my knee, my meniscus. You know, 10 days ago I couldn't walk very well. I stayed two days with crutches, but I asked my doctor to help me because it's the fight of my life and I can't miss that fight."

Omg! What a fight. Junior Dos Santos KO'ed the best remaining unbeaten in UFC. Cain tasted loss for the first time. Santos caught Cain with a huge overhand right. Cain went down, and Santos threw more punches resulting referee stopping the fight.

In the post fight interview with Joe Rogan Santos stated: “I have no words to say what I’m feeling. It’s amazing, my life. I want to thank all of my team, all my family, I’ve got a lot of good people around me. Thank you very much.”

Cain in the post fight interview stated: “I’m sorry for all the fans, my family and my friends that I disappointed you. I will come back. I will get this belt back for sure.”

Dos Santos will face the winner of  Alistair Overeem vs Lesnar which will take place @ UFC 140.
