B.J. Penn still undecided on retirement
“I’m enjoying my time away from the sport. That’s where I am right now, I’m living a regular life instead of living the roller coaster. I haven’t lived a normal life in 15 years.I’m trying to find myself a little bit — not as a fighter trying to come back to the sport but just as a person. I just honestly sit back and reflect and look at how it went. I really do feel I could have done a lot better in a lot of different situations. I’m heartbroken with the way some of the fights went. The way my UFC 94 fight [against Georges St. Pierre] and my fights with Frankie Edgar went, I’m heartbroken about those fights. I feel I could have made better choices, but I don’t feel a major urge that I’ve got to go fix that right now.”

B.J. Penn's camp explains the background of the Twitter blast
Scott Hernandez BJPenn.com manager, who is also BJ Penn’s Twitter and Facebook accounts owner has talked on what happened:
"I went on BJ’s Facebook today to try and informally educate some of his detractors as to why BJ came out on Twitter two days ago and attacked Nick Diaz. For me, it was to the point where after reading several responses and comments I thought it important to put out some flames and explain what is going on. I was merely trying to educate some of the people who don’t understand where BJ is coming from. But I probably shouldn’t have done it in that manner because it still left glaring questions unanswered and maybe put some words in BJ’s mouth that shouldn’t have been there. First and foremost, BJ and Nick are no longer friends. I understand the media may have painted a picture following the fight that things where cool. But they were not. The one photo of the two together post-fight was taken by Cesar and BJ and Nick did no socializing amongst each other after the fight. This was just a picture painted by the media, but it was never all flowers and butterflies. Behind closed doors and far from the public’s view, the two have not been friendly and these recent comments are a result of that. Nick caught BJ off guard and the relationship started to fall apart at the weigh-ins when Nick tried to strike BJ. Then during the fight … in between rounds Nick shoulder checked BJ. This is another thing that bothered BJ and hurt the friendship even more. The third item of my list of four that I wish to highlight is the post-fight antics of Nick. He took to Jason Parillo, BJ’s boxing coach, with a verbal out lash and again, strained the relationship between himself and BJ further. The last item on the list is this clip from HDNet. Nick calls BJ bitter for the loss and seems to have more to say about the fight and BJ. That is all I wanted to express to you guys. Understand it or not, these are the items, these are the actions that changed BJ’s opinion of Nick Diaz and what tarnished their friendship. I can’t speak on why it took BJ three month’s to finally come out and say it bothered him, but what’s done is done. I know his supporters will and always do understand, but I hope this helps clear up what’s going on with the ones who don’t get it and maybe you can see, from our side, where we are coming from. For BJ’s part, he’s not losing any sleep over this stuff, but for me, I wanted to try and educate and merely answer some of these questions we have been receiving from the fans."

B.J .Penn calls Diaz coward, wants rematch!
"Look how much bigger you are in this [picture]...I thought you were gonna scrap from the beginning homie? What was that coward fence holding strategy to tire out the smaller man? Street fighter my ass! I made you fight like glass jaw @jonfitchdotnet poser! I'll be ready for that weak bs next time we fight"
White not convinced that Penn is going to retire
At the post fight conference Dana stated these about his call. We couldn't hear it from B.J. Penn because he was at taken to the hospital.
"BJ is a warrior, what happened to him tonight has never happened to him in his entire career. What he’s thinking tonight he might not think eight weeks from now. They took BJ right to the hospital. Who knows. It might be or it might not be. That’s up to him"

| After UFC 137 |
The weigh-ins was heated as they butted their heads and needed seperation, it continued from where it stayed before the first round! The staredown before the fight starts was nothing different from weigh-ins. In the first round Penn took Diaz down almost taking his back. Afer some rolling on the mat Diaz escaped from the position and got back to his feet. In the second round everything changed. Diaz was the aggressor and pushed the phase. He pressed him to the fence with a combination of punches. B.J. wasn't able to run away from punches and Diaz unloaded his best shots over him. B.J. Penn has a damn good chin and survived that round with a badly beaten face. His left eye was almost closed. Penn seemed energetic healed up in the third round. Diaz was more aggressive still and continued to punish him with beautiful hooks and jabs. The fight resulted a (29-28, 29-27, 29-28) win for Diaz over Penn.
Diaz in the post fight interview called GSP out.
Before he receives the mic from Rogan he screamed “Where you at Georges? Where you at mother f***
While speaking to Rogan he stated:
“I don’t think Georges is hurt, I think he’s scared. I think he’s scared to fight everybody right now. Where you at Georges?”
GSP was also watching the event in Mandalay Bay. The cameras concentrated on him. He mocked Diaz' calling with him showing his hands shaking.
Diaz completed his interview connecting his words for Penn.
“B.J.’s the man, I always loved watching him fight.”
When the reviewing turn comes to Penn everyone including Rogan was shocked with his words. He said :
“Hats off to Nick Diaz, he’s the man. Joe, this is probably the last time you’re ever going to see me in here. I want to perform at the top level. That’s it.
I’ve got a daughter, another daughter on the way, I don’t want to go home looking like this. I’m done."
Dana White : Condit gets next title shot regardless of UFC 137 results

| Carlos Condit |
We know GSP is out of the title bout this weekend. There has been some talking about who will get the next title shot.
With the B.J. Penn vs. Nick Diaz fight people thought these guys may challenge the champion and Condit in the meantime could get another fight. But thats unlikely to happen. Condit already stated fighting another guy(he meant Koscheck as he offered to fight) won't make any sense. Dana White the President confirmed this is not going to happen.
“Condit’s in. Condit’s sitting and waiting. GSP should be 6 to 8 weeks, he’s just got to have some rehab on his knee.”
GSP thinks B.J. Penn will win the fight @ UFC 137
George Saint Pierre "the inured champion" spoke on B.J. Penn - Nick Diaz. He thinks Penn will win the bout.
“I think BJ Penn will win the fight because I believe he has more skills. If he uses all his set of skills, then BJ Penn will win. But, the thing with BJ Penn is sometimes you don’t know what BJ Penn will show up to the fight. If he’s well prepared or injured – I don’t know. Sometimes, I saw him perform very well at the best of his ability he’s the best guy. But when he doesn’t perform at the best of his ability he can be beat. Nick Diaz is very consistent, he has a similar style of fighting all the time. But, I believe if the right BJ Penn shows up, he’ll win the fight.”
B.J. Penn wants another title shot, considering lightweight return
B.J. Penn wants another title shot before he ends his career. He stated “I’d love to get another, maybe win the welterweight title one more time. Maybe even, if possible, try to the lightweight title another time."
Penn doesn't want to speak to early about these changes. The former champion says "As far as everything goes, I’m just trying to take it one fight at a time. If Dana feels that I’m impressive in my next fight and he wants to grant me that opportunity, I’d be very gracious for the offer. As far as getting the title shot or whatever, I think a bunch of the title shot and all of that, it’s all about at the right time, who is open and who is injured, who’s not injured.” Another title shot will actually depend on his performance against Nick Diaz @ UFC 137
B.J. Penn vs. Nick Diaz set for UFC 137 - The cards are getting beautiful !
That was a unlikely match-up after announcing Diaz was removed from championship bout. B.J. Penn's original opponent was Condit, he was replaced to fight against GSP after Diaz not showing for the promotion events. Now we have a switching of the opponents!
Dana tweeted this " "This is crazy but here we go again! You wanted it so you got it. Penn vs Diaz Oct 29th in Vegas>what a week!!! I love it!"
So to sum up we have great 2 welterweight bouts GSP vs Condit, Penn vs. Diaz plus 2 incredible heavyweight bouts Roy Nelson vs. Mirko Filipović and Cheick Kongo vs. Matt Mitrione making the night even tastier !
