Jon Jones: I Don't Hate Chael Sonnen Anymore
[Chael's] not too bad. I thought it was going to be all trash-talk, but he's actually being pretty decent and pretty classy. So, I think it's going to make for a great show.
I actually don't hate Chael anymore. He's actually turning out to be OK. I'm not sure if he's setting me up to really hate him—but right now, he's being a pretty decent human.

@sonnench the things you say about me hold absolutely no weight, you disrespected Anderson and his country but fought like a child.

@sonnench If you're going to disrespect me out of nowhere, at least disrespect me to my face like a man.

Dana White had to convince Silva to fight in Vegas
It took UFC President White 75 minutes to convince Silva to fight Sonnen in Vegas instead of Rio de Janeiro. Silva wanted the bout to happen in Rio. Silva thought Sonnen was disrespectful with him, his family and the Brazilian fans and told "He deserves to taught a lesson here, I owe this to my people". Dana declined saying "If there is no way how to make the event in a stadium, it has to be in Las Vegas" and promised Silva a good share of the PPV buys.

Ed Soares asks Brazilian fans to let Silva handle Sonnen
Hopefully people will understand that they shouldn’t do anything against Chael, just boo him said Ed Soares. Let Anderson settle this with him in the Octagon. It will be very bad for Brazil if something happens to him. The guy is an idiot, but he is promoting the fight and it will be the greatest MMA fight of all time.”

Brian Stann predicts Silva vs Sonnen II
“I think that Chael Sonnen takes it. There are a lot of factors that are going to play into that. Just similar to when I fought Chael, I think he’s particularly a very, very difficult match up for Anderson Silva. Just due to the years and years of difference in grappling and how physical Chael is when he’s on top. We’re going to have to see some new techniques from Anderson that he wasn’t able to showcase in his first fight. But, if Chael performs the way he did against Bisping, he could be in for a long night against Anderson.”
On his performance against Chael Sonnen: “ I don’t feel like I performed my best. Just when I started to get my timing down against Chael, I made a very big tactical error. Some of the techniques we were working on for that fight, they were still a little bit out of my comfort zone.”
Frank Mir Thinks That Fighting in Brazil Is Probably a Bad Idea
Frank Mir: The only reason why I at first said, ‘hmmm, maybe not a good idea’ (was) when I found out he wanted to fight in June in Brazil. I was like, ‘Ah, I don’t know if that would be such a great idea, I don’t know if I’m gonna be that well received there.’
I’d have to go there for a whole week with my family, my wife and my children … I don’t think I’m in (Chael Sonnen’s) boat yet. But at the same time if I go to a restaurant and someone is a Nogueira fan, what are they gonna do to my food? Brazilian fans, fans in general, can be kinda crazy … I’ve received quite a few crazy Emails … Google translate is a phenomenal thing but it kind of makes you cringe a little bit when you see what people wanna say.

Chael Sonnen thinks Rampage is a crybaby, but he likes him
“I like him. Look, he’s a crybaby, but I find it entertaining. I like it when he goes on his campaigns about entitlement and how he should be given easy fights. I don’t agree with any of it, but, you gotta understand, everybody’s gonna stumble, at times, but to miss weight at a fight poorly, when you’re paid what he’s paid — he’s the second highest paid fighter in the industry now that Brock Lesnar is retired — it kind of puts him in a different ballpark. A lot of things are expected of him and he’s not quite delivering. But as far as retirement talk, the guy ought to be able to have a bad performance here and there. Randy Couture, the greatest of all time, had bad performances, but he always came back.”
