You'll remember, after defeating Brian Stann, Sonnen called out Silva and didn't say pretty words doing that. Ed Soares talked about Sonnen. He says "First the guy gets in trouble for fraud, then he tests positive for steroids, and now he wants to kick in someone’s door and slap their wife in the ass? This guy should be in jail; he shouldn’t be fighting,"
Sonnen was tested positive with elevated testosterone level in his blood after his title shot against Silva. His contract was suspended, later he appealed his suspension that he had a medical reason of having these levels. Sonnen also pled guilty to charges of money laundering in connection with mortgage fraud. He is fined $10,000 and sentenced to two years of probation.
