That was a hell of a great card to be honest. All of the fights were great fun to watch. There was even a live connection interview between Edgar and Maynard about their title fight.
Mac Danzig vs. Matt Wiman: The fighters made us watch a great exchange of strikes. However Wiman was the aggressor and he was obviously better resulting a unanimous decision win. After the controversial win @UFC 115, this one in my opinion was his clearance.
Anthony Johnson vs Charlie Brenneman: As expected Johnson proved him to be stronger. He punished Brenneman with some great landing shots and with a headkick he hurt him. He was knocked down, but conscious. Mario Yamasaki immediately stopped the fight. He was criticized for stopping the fight such early but Brenneman wouldn't stand any chance after all. A possible KO&TKO was just a matter of time.
Pat Barry vs Stefan Struve: A great match. Struve kept his distance well and Barry tried to get inside the range. It was a pretty close round. In the second round fighters started exchanging their leg kicks. In the clinch Struve attempted guillotine choke, failed the first. Then transitioned to a triangle choke. To escape Barry slammed him, but that wasn't enough to save him. He tapped out and lost via triangle choke.
Dominick Cruz vs Demetrious Johnson: It was a great fight between the fastest guys in the UFC. Cruz proved him being the best, Johnson proved to be the real opponent, and the fastest of the fastest ! He was really well conditioned against Cruz. In stand-up Johnson pushed the phase and he was obviously better. Cruz used his physical advantage and attempted many successful takedowns. In the third round he attempted to choke him twice. It was almost over, but the mickey mouse was so fast to roll&spin and run away from submission. The bout went to unanimous decision(50-45, 49-46, 50-45). Cruz retained his belt also winning additional 65K $ bonus from White. Cruz is now most likely to face Brian Bowles and Urijah Faber winner @UFC 139. Johnson may move down to 125 pounds flyweight division if plans succeed and the division opens up.
